Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in broadcasting, communications, journalism, public relations, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
Demonstrated experience in video production, editing, and broadcast operations.
Strong knowledge of social media platforms, strategies, and content development.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, adapt quickly to change, and meet deadlines.
Experience in public relations, community relations, or marketing preferred.
Demonstrated problem‑solving ability and a customer‑service mindset.

Video Production & Broadcast Media
Oversee, coordinate, and manage all aspects of broadcast and video productions, both technical and creative. Supervise district videographers.
Direct in‑house and off‑site productions including interviews, events, and district programming.
Handle storyboarding, scripting, camera operations, lighting, audio, and editing.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and oversee production equipment, live truck and related broadcast hardware.
Manage the district’s educational channels (CVC‑TV/YouTube) programming and taping schedule.
Social Media & Digital Communications
Assist the Director in developing, implementing, and refining district social media strategies.
Create, publish, and monitor engaging content across social media platforms and district website.
Support online community engagement and maintain a positive, consistent district presence.
Contribute to email campaigns, website content updates, and other digital communications.
Public Relations & Community Engagement Support
Assist with writing press releases, newsletters, scripts, and district publications.
Provide communications support during events, board meetings, community forums, and special projects.
Help plan, promote, and execute district‑wide initiatives, campaigns, and events.
Support the Director in maintaining strong relationships with media, parents, staff, and community partners.
Collaborate on branding and promotional materials to enhance district image.
General
Provide timely and responsive communication support for district schools and stakeholders.
Maintain department files, schedules, and budgets related to communication projects.
Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings and sporting events.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of School and Community Relations.
This position requires the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to perform essential job duties, including but not limited to understanding and following safety instructions, responding appropriately to emergency situations, completing documentation, and interacting with English‑speaking staff, students, community and supervisors.
