Summary The Powder Coating Manager will manage overall operations and is responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control, and safety measures as established and set for the Operations Department.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities
Full control and ownership for the plant’s fast‑paced powder coating department.
Responsible for Powder Coating quality, standards
Compile, sort, and analyze production data, and standards, and use the data to reach product quality and production goals.
Analyze machine uptime and machine cycle times to plan and estimate long‑term and short‑term labor and equipment capacity needs to meet demand.
Use Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts to identify opportunities to improve current processes, protocols, and procedures leading to process improvements, cost avoidance, and/or cost savings.
Assure the Powder Coating area is well kept, and machinery & tools are maintained.
Responsible for maintaining safety and housekeeping standards and assure compliance with OSHA standards.
Reviews and analyzes production and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformance with product specs.
Assist in developing cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency within the Powder coating department.
Participates with company management in formulating short‑ and long‑range plans for departmental and production growth.
Establish and maintain positive employee relations. Develop organizational capability, succession plans, cross‑training, and growth paths for employees.
Required Skills/Abilities
Strong background in powder coating and industrial painting
Strong attention to detail
Able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Demonstrate the ability to work independently without daily supervision.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Ability to understand basic mechanical and manufacturing techniques.
Comprehensive knowledge of the Powder Coating process and equipment
Minimum 5 years of relevant manufacturing/powder coating experience
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 50 lbs. when required.
Ability to withstand extreme temperatures.
Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the warehouse.
