The Banking Operations Manager oversees two units within the section: the Specialized Banking Unit (SBU) and the Disbursement Account Services Unit (DASU). SBU works closely with depository banks processing deposits into centralized accounts in the name of the State Treasurer and then compiles daily cash flow calculations which are then shared with the Investment Management Division so that investments may be made to maximize interest income for the General Fund. This position is also responsible for cash management consultation with the fiscal staff of State agencies to ensure proper cash management controls are in place (in conjunction with the Office of State Controller). The Division is comprised of four areas: Procurement and Contracting, Banking Operations, Bank Reconciliation Unit, and Accounting.

Banking Operations serves as the banking hub for all State departments, agencies, institutions, and universities. The Bank Reconciliation Unit is responsible for reconciling all of the State Treasurer’s bank accounts as well as reconciling budget code balances between the Office of State Controller and DST.
