Role Summary
The Business Development Representative – Outside Sales position for Stallion’s Service Line in Austin, TX is responsible for the development and implementation of sales efforts for the market. This position plans and manages all sales efforts in accordance with established goals set by the Vice President of Sales.
Role Priorities / Responsibilities
Identify and develop opportunities for new product placement and service delivery for our services
The ideal candidate is a hunter and maintains a heavy schedule working with prospective clients
Ensure that our firm is represented in the territory.
Develop and maintain rapport with existing and potential customer base
Anticipate, understand and manage all existing and developing customer needs
Fosters a team effort with the corporate sales staff
Effectively communicates opportunities internally and logs them into Salesforce
Comply with short-term and long-term sales goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
May assist management in the development of proposals
Assist in the MSA contracting and credit assessment process
Attend and participate in local company/industry sales and marketing events as required
Adhere to individual expense (T&E) budget
Identify RFP and competitive opportunities in multiple market verticals.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Adept at identifying, qualifying and closing sales opportunities
Competently sets individual goals/KPI’s and drives to overachieve them
Must be an excellent negotiator and able to close on major sales
Ability to self-motivate to generate leads and make cold calls
Plans and manages the sales efforts
Fosters coordination between Corporate Sales, Field Sales, and Operations
Self-disciplined and possess excellent communication and presentation skills
Follows the company’s expense and reimbursement policy
Upholds the highest standards in Stallion brand compliance
Working knowledge of contracting and negotiating
Experienced managing a monthly sales quota and revenue expectations
Has initiated, developed and maintained successful customer relations efforts
Excellent and professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Education or Certification required (if applicable)
3+ years of sales experience in related industry
