Property Manager – Long Pond Village Apartments
We are looking for a Property Manager to fill an opening immediately at Long Pond Village Apartments in the Rotterdam/Schenectady area. The qualified candidate will have at least three years of experience managing a multi‑family apartment community with 50 units or more. This candidate leads and coaches the on‑site team toward providing excellence in customer service and a safe, inviting home for residents while completing necessary reports and staying within the budget.
Schedule:
In‑office Monday - Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm with alternating Saturdays.
Essential Functions
Leads the on‑site team, providing coaching and accountability.
Uses excellent sales and customer service skills when assisting prospects, residents, and colleagues.
Displays the utmost professionalism.
Responds well to feedback and takes initiative to share suggestions and ideas.
Works independently with limited supervision.
Directs leasing and resident retention programs.
Works to resolve resident or employee issues.
Maintains a 97% occupancy rate.
Performs property inspections.
Accurately completes required reports.
Keeps up to date on regulations.
Communicates effectively with residents, subordinates, and supervisors.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum of three years as a Property Manager at a multi‑family apartment community with 50 units or more (preferred).
Valid NYS real‑estate salesperson license preferred; willing to transfer license to Sunrise Management & Consulting.
Excellent customer service, sales, and problem‑solving skills.
Proficient with Entrata or similar property management software.
Professional verbal and written communication skills.
Valid, clean driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Knowledge of fair‑housing regulations.
Basic knowledge of overall office operations.
Knowledge of standard word‑processing, database, and spreadsheet software.
Ability to maintain detailed records and generate accurate reports.
Demonstrates personal integrity and acts ethically and trustworthy.
Cannot be a resident of a Sunrise‑managed apartment community.
Benefits & Compensation
Salary: $27.00 – $32.00 / hour

Ability to lift objects up to 25 lb. without assistance.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
