The Work You’ll Do As a
Market Development Representative
at Sovos, you will be at the forefront of our growth engine—building market demand and opening doors to new business opportunities. You will connect with prospective customers, spark interest in our solutions, and set the stage for meaningful sales conversations.
Build market demand for Sovos’ solutions by arranging sales meetings with potential business prospects
Exercise discretion and independent judgment to advance Sovos’ marketing and sales strategies
Work directly with customers to assist with implementation of Sovos’ products and services
Drive MDR team achievement of telemarketing and revenue quotas
Independently introduce and market Sovos’ solutions to customers and prospects
Achieve pipeline creation and revenue quotas
Partner with Sales Executives to identify and execute territory plans
Execute a formalized telemarketing and selling process
Develop and deliver regular forecasts of revenue goals and telemarketing objectives
Creatively identify and implement improvements to telemarketing strategies, processes, documents, and tools to benefit Market Development and other internal teams
Autonomously manage multiple sales opportunities concurrently and actively drive pipeline development
What We Need From You
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Strong team player with the drive to identify and execute ideas that make the Market Development team better
Quota experience preferred with demonstrated ability to exceed targets
General understanding of business, financial systems, and organizational decision-making
Ability to engage confidently with mid-level and executive contacts at client organizations
Self‑motivated and quick to learn new concepts and technologies
Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) with the ability to present to groups of all sizes
Strong planning, organizing, and prioritization abilities
Excellent multi‑tasking skills with keen attention to detail
Proficiency with contact management solutions (e.g., Salesforce.com) and Microsoft Office suite
Creative and adaptable communication style
Assertive and persistent approach to outreach
Creative problem‑solving abilities with a genuine desire to learn and improve
Ability to work on site at our corporate office
Minimal travel required (less than 25%) both domestic and international to Sovos locations and events
Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire
