Insurance Agent (Base salary + Uncapped commissions)
Base pay range: $55,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr.
Total first‑year compensation typically ranges from $55k to $75k, with potential for top performers to earn over $100k. This role includes uncapped commissions.
Role Overview We are looking for a Sales Agent to join our South Portland office and surrounding locations. Success in this role will require a strong local network and in‑person relationship building in the community. This is not a remote position.
Compensation
Typical training salary: $55k–$65k per year
Combination of base, bonuses, and uncapped commissions: total first‑year compensation $55k‑$75k
Potential for top performers to earn over $100k in the first year

Qualifications Preferred Experience
Previous employment in a sales role turning prospects into customers
State insurance license or willingness to earn one in Property & Casualty, and Life
Required Skills
Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills
Well‑developed persuasion and negotiation skills
Great interpersonal skills and proven ability to build relationships with prospective and existing customers
Effective time management and organizational skills
Ability to learn insurance coverage and underwriting guidelines
Familiarity with finding, building, and growing leads and customer base
