The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) invests in a network of community-based organizations and programs to alleviate the effects of poverty and to provide opportunities for New Yorkers and communities to flourish.
Responsibilities
Conduct training for providers, stakeholders, and community members on the City's contracting and procurement process. Draft solicitation specifications in a clear and concise manner. Process purchase orders using various City systems. Consult with various DYCD units to ensure the correct goods and services are being procured. Follow the appropriate procurement method and rules for the procurement. Maintain and update procurement status reports and databases. Process contracts for services, goods, and construction in an accurate and timely manner and ensure the appropriate procurement methods are used and are in compliance with the rules associated with the funding stream. Qualifications
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community-centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community-centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or Education and/or experience which is equivalent to the above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in the first qualification. Preferred Skills
Familiar with and knowledge of New York City's Procurement Policy Board Rules, Citywide procurement systems such as HHS Accelerator, FMS, and PASSport. Additional Information
