Executive Large Account Risk Control Specialist - Central

Location Preference:
Remote with preference for Milwaukee WI, Minneapolis MN, Des Moines IA, Dallas TX, Kansas City MO, or Chicago IL.
Essential Functions
Conduct risk control surveys and services for large accounts within assigned region.
Oversee delivery of risk control services, ensuring high‑quality support to policyholders.
Provide advanced consultation and assign team members to deliver on‑site risk control surveys across all business areas.
Produce written reports and recommendations to support underwriting decisions, risk selection, and account retention.
Identify key loss exposures, recommend mitigation strategies, and communicate impact to underwriting.
Design and deliver strategic service plans for the largest and most complex accounts.
Collaborate with clients and technical staff to drive measurable risk improvement.
Influence insureds toward adoption of service plans and recommendations.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members, including reviewing service plans and completing quality control reviews.
Act as trainer for less experienced risk control team members as directed by leadership.
Build relationships with policyholders, underwriting, claims, and agents; serve as trusted advisor for stewardship programs.
Participate in cross‑functional meetings with Underwriting, Sales, and Claims.
Promote Risk Control capabilities through targeted agency engagement and strategic outreach initiatives.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in safety, engineering, industrial safety, fire protection or related field.
Eight years of experience in risk control or safety roles, or equivalent experience.
Preferred certifications: ASP, CSP, ARM.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Advanced knowledge of industrial, construction, fire, and commercial automotive safety.
Excellent understanding of OSHA, DOT, NFPA, and other national standards.
Strong risk evaluation and loss exposure identification skills.
Problem‑solving and customer service skills.
Self‑motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently.
Multitasking and prioritizing to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, able to influence and educate diverse audiences.
Travel required (approx. 50% of time, local and overnight); valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record required.
Compensation Salary range: $101,677 - $145,733 or $112,094 - $160,670, depending on location.
