Sales Support Specialist
El Dorado National – California (ENC), a legacy bus builder turning the page toward the future, has started their bold new electric commercial cargo van division. We are in the process of designing cutting‑edge electric and hybrid Class 3–6 commercial vehicle that will reshape public, commercial, and private fleet mobility. Our flagship model is the first in a new generation of clean, modular, tech‑forward vehicles.
We're a collaborative team that wears multiple hats and building something special — and we’re looking for a Sales Engineer who can help bridge the gap between product development and customer success.
Position Summary The Sales Support Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the commercial sales team, distribution network, and fleet customers by ensuring accurate information flow, timely quoting, organized documentation, and seamless coordination across operations and upfitting. This role helps to accelerate sales, improve customer experience, and strengthen internal communication between Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Customer Success in the quote‑to‑cash processes. You’ll also represent the voice of the customer to internal departments including production, procurement and engineering — and the voice of the product to sales.
Responsibilities
Prepare, process, and track commercial quotes for cargo vans, chassis trucks, and upfit packages.
Manage incoming sales inquiries, dealer requests, and fleet customer documentation.
Maintain CRM records, update pipeline data, and ensure opportunity information is complete and accurate.
Assist in preparing proposals, bid packets, contract documents, and pricing sheets.
Support the creation of online spec sheets, configuration templates, and commercial sales toolkits.
Act as a point of contact for dealers, fleet managers, leasing companies, and internal sales reps.
Provide timely updates on pricing, lead times, production status, delivery schedules, and documentation.
Support onboarding of new dealers and assist in delivering training materials and resources.
Coordinate order entry, PO validation, and communication with Operations to monitor build schedules.
Track units through production, upfit stages, logistics, and final delivery.
Prepare weekly and monthly sales summaries, quoting activity reports, and order backlogs.
Support creation of KPI dashboards and executive summaries.
Assist with customer presentations, sales collateral, and trade show prep.
Help gather competitive information and organize market insights for the sales team.
Skills Required
You manage multiple priorities without letting things fall through the cracks.
You communicate clearly and professionally with dealers, fleet buyers, and internal teams.
You thrive on helping others and ensuring excellent customer service.
You enjoy supporting a fast‑moving sales environment tied to commercial trucks and vans.
You collaborate well with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Customer Support.
You’re comfortable working in CRM, ERP, spreadsheets, quoting systems, and document libraries.
You see opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
You have a professional demeanor and bring energy to the sales organization.
You take ownership of tasks, follow through consistently, and maintain a high standard of work.
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Automotive Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2–4 years of experience in sales support, customer service, order management, or administrative coordination.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics), and general office software.
Demonstrated ability to support quoting processes, documentation management, and sales administration.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer‑first mindset.
