About Us
El Dorado National – California (ENC), a legacy bus builder turning the page toward the future, has started their bold new electric commercial cargo van division. We are in the process of designing cutting‑edge electric and hybrid Class 3–6 commercial vehicle that will reshape public, commercial, and private fleet mobility. Our flagship model is the first in a new generation of clean, modular, tech‑forward vehicles.
We're a collaborative team that wears multiple hats and building something special — and we’re looking for a Sales Engineer who can help bridge the gap between product development and customer success.
What You’ll Do The Market Analyst supports the Commercial Sales and Product teams by transforming data into actionable insights that accelerate revenue growth, strengthen dealer and fleet relationships, and guide strategic decisions for cargo vans, chassis trucks, and upfit solutions. This role blends market intelligence, sales analytics, pricing strategy, and operational visibility across the commercial vehicle ecosystem.
You’ll also represent market opportunity with real data for the team to make good decisions and help with product and option development priorities.
Analyze sales pipeline, win/loss trends, dealer performance, and fleet acquisition behavior across commercial vehicles.
Build dashboards and reporting tools to support forecasting, quota setting, and weekly business reviews.
Identify performance gaps, customer buying patterns, upfit demand shifts, and channel opportunities.
Monitor industry trends, OEM production plans, competitor pricing, EV adoption rates, and body/upfit market changes.
Conduct TAM, SAM, and SOM analyses for cargo vans, chassis cabs, refrigerated units, service bodies, and EV platforms.
Evaluate regional demand drivers: parcel, utilities, telecom, rental, and vocational segments.
Provide pricing elasticity analyses, margin modeling, and “what-if” scenarios to support sales leadership.
Recommend pricing adjustments, discount structures, and program incentives based on data‑driven insights.
Support go‑to‑market plans for new model launches, EV platforms, and new upfit packages.
Analyze customer usage profiles, route patterns, payload requirements, seasonal variations, and upfit configurations.
Profile dealers and fleet accounts with low, medium, and high commercial activity and identify whitespace opportunities.
Evaluate customer satisfaction, aftersales activity, warranty trends, and retention metrics.
Develop executive‑ready reports, KPI scorecards, commercial heat maps, and opportunity briefs.
Present concise recommendations to VP of Sales, Product Management, Revenue Operations, and Leadership.
Who You Are
You excel at turning complex datasets into meaningful insights, trends, and business recommendations.
You’re familiar with chassis specs, GVWR classes, body upfit options, TCO drivers, and customer vocational needs.
You can zoom out to evaluate market direction, competition, macroeconomic impacts, and EV adoption patterns.
You can zoom in to tactical decisions—pricing levers, regional demand shifts, and sales rep performance.
You manage multiple projects, datasets, and deadlines without losing accuracy or speed.
You work seamlessly across Sales, Product, Operations, Finance, Engineering, and Dealer Support.
You find satisfaction in helping sales teams win by giving them stronger tools, insights, and visibility.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or related field.
3+ years of experience in transportation, mobility, automotive, or fleet‑based industries
Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, data modeling, and trend analysis.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
Hands‑on experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics, or similar).
Working knowledge of commercial vehicle segments, especially cargo vans, chassis trucks, EV platforms, or upfitting solutions.
