Empowering Lives to Grow Big People!

We are a One‑on‑One Attendant Care agency, providing ADL (Activities of Daily Living) and Community Supports for our customers in their own homes. We strive to inspire and support the unique individuals and families that we serve, to empower them to participate in their communities and live their best lives.

Job Summary & Description Empowered Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team. In this role, you will build meaningful relationships that inspire confidence, promote independence, and support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living fulfilling, joyful lives.

As a DSP, you will work one‑on‑one with each customer to understand their unique needs, support them in achieving their goals, and provide care in a positive, encouraging, and safe environment. Our DSPs serve not only as caregivers but also as mentors, advocates, and trusted companions for the individuals we support.

Customer 1 198: We are looking for a caring and dedicated DSP to support an amazing adult in Newberg. She is full of joy, affectionate, and has a remarkable ability to make friends wherever she goes. She absolutely loves everything Disney, enjoys cheering on baseball games, exploring grocery stores, and people‑watching at the park or her favorite shops. She thrives with someone who can provide constant supervision and attention, assist with her G‑tube, and support her during walking and daily activities. A mid‑size car is needed to transport her and her wheelchair safely. The ideal DSP will also be gentle yet firm, providing clear boundaries while nurturing her independence and confidence.

Schedule

Tuesdays & Thursdays: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Sundays: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

If you are a caring, active, and patient professional who can keep up with an adventurous personality, we would love to hear from you.

Customer 2 257: We are hiring a Direct Support Professional to support a joyful, affectionate young person born in 2010 who brings happiness and laughter to everyone around him. He is a naturally social kid who loves people, shows affection easily, enjoys cuddling, and has a playful, sometimes mischievous sense of humor. His go‑with‑the‑flow attitude and cheerful personality make him a joy to be around.

He thrives when surrounded by his favorite people and when he has plenty of opportunities for physical activity. Some of his favorite things include bouncing on the trampoline, taking walks, water play, being outdoors, having visitors, spending time with grandparents, going to school, and watching The Backyardigans.

We’re looking for a provider who is patient, engaged, and willing to actively participate in activities with him. Someone who can go with the flow, offer choices when appropriate, stay physically active, and be kindly but gently firm will be the best fit. He benefits from hands‑on attention and warm emotional support to help him feel grounded and confident.

If you’re nurturing, energetic, and passionate about making a meaningful difference in a young person’s daily life, we’d love to meet you.

Schedule

Monday & Tuesday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM and Saturday 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Customer 3 256: We are hiring a Direct Support Professional to support an active, artistic, and incredibly clever young person who is full of enthusiasm and curiosity. He has a great memory, loves music, enjoys engaging with people, and thrives when he can express himself through art. He is very friendly, very visual, and loves staying active—whether he’s swimming, hiking, kayaking, climbing, or exploring the outdoors with friends.

What matters most to him is staying connected to his mom, having predictable routines, and engaging with his favorite interests like Spelling 2 Communicate, Veggie Tales, water‑related videos, his service dog, church activities, outdoor adventures, and visits to his favorite stores. He loves anything active, anything involving water, and anything related to Christmas and music. Routine and structure help him feel safe and confident.

He is best supported by someone who can provide sight or sound supervision, use visual aids, follow his routines, and help write out daily schedules. A provider who is patient, active, and willing to plan ahead will help him succeed. He benefits from short, clear instructions, physical activity, breaks to move around, reassurance, and a calm presence. His service dog offers comfort and safety, and a provider should be comfortable working with them both.

If you’re energetic, organized, and excited to support a creative, determined, and active youth, we would love to meet you.

PLEASE NOTE: This position does not begin until March of 2026.
