SUMMARY The Direct Support Professional provides self-care training and assistance in daily living to individuals with developmental disabilities residing in a group home setting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.
Provides individualized care as outlined in the individuals Life Plan, or ISP.
Assists Individuals in the primary activities of daily living (toileting, feeding, cooking, cleaning) as outlined in individual's ISP to promote independence.
Maintains files and produces service notes and documentation on assigned caseload.
Documents and submits reports to the program as outlined in the assigned department.
Maximized consumer's social skills in order to enable him/her to live in their community by providing activities in a community setting.
About the ARC’S Residence Program In the residential program, the most caring people are the trained staff who provide 24-hour supervision, care, and guidance to residents. They assist with personal care needs, cleaning, cooking, medications, and activities.

Requirements High School or GED: acceptable New York State Drivers License and 12 months driving history.
