GI Specialty Sales Representative (Pharma)
Join Nestlé Health Science as a GI Specialty Sales Representative (Pharma) to drive sales of specialty medical products in the gastrointestinal and metabolic space. Through dedicated market strategies, relationship building, and data‑driven detailing, you will grow business relationships with key decision makers and influencers.
Job Summary The role focuses on executing marketing strategies to achieve sales performance across a full portfolio within an assigned geographic territory. Responsibilities include strategic detailing, education of healthcare providers, territory planning, and supporting transition of care protocols with IDN hospital personnel.
Territory Location This position covers the greater East Texas area from Tyler, TX to Longview, TX (and surrounding communities). Dallas, TX is not included.
Responsibilities
Drive growth among GI/Critical Care target specialists and new accounts, meeting or exceeding sales and profit objectives.
Educate targeted healthcare providers on the benefits of a novel GI therapy.
Execute a compliant, professional, and persuasive selling process that addresses needs and leads to action.
Develop and communicate deep scientific understanding of GI disorders and product offerings.
Cultivate long‑term relationships with key accounts and opinion leaders in the GI community.
Implement an individualized business plan and utilize all available resources to foster a successful sales environment.
Present complex clinical and reimbursement information to key stakeholders in a competitive marketplace.
Apply a customer‑centric, needs‑based selling approach with targeted healthcare providers.
Use sales reporting systems regularly for call preparation, activity tracking, and market intelligence.
Organize meetings and deliver content to healthcare professionals aligned with account targets and metrics.
Conduct promotional programs for professional and patient audiences.
Attend local, regional, and national meetings as directed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Psychology, or a related field.
3+ years of medical/clinical selling experience in specialty medical products OR 5+ years of combined sales and clinical experience.
Fluency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Ability to develop solid, long‑standing relationships with strategic customers.
Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
Requires 25% or more travel.
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
