Position Overview The Construction Scheduler reports to the Executive Project Manager and is responsible for developing, maintaining, and coordinating project schedules within the scheduling platform. This role works closely with project managers and superintendents to ensure that all workflows are followed, resources are allocated efficiently, and project milestones are met. The Construction Scheduler acts as a central point of accountability for schedule accuracy, resource tracking, and workflow compliance, supporting both field and office teams in achieving operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, update, and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.

Collaborate with project managers to import, build, and refine schedules, and assign crews and responsible users to specific tasks and activities.

Coordinate with superintendents to ensure 2‑week look‑ahead schedules are completed, roadblocks are identified, and weekly commitments are made and tracked.

Facilitate weekly scheduling meetings, review progress, document variances, and ensure all updates are accurately reflected in the system.

Monitor resource allocation (labor and equipment), validate crew assignments, and flag discrepancies or missing information for resolution.

Act as a workflow gatekeeper, holding team members accountable for timely updates and adherence to scheduling processes.

Generate and distribute schedule reports, highlighting upcoming needs, potential impacts, and resource requirements.

Support training and onboarding of team members in scheduling best practices and system usage.

Qualifications

B.S. degree in an applicable field, or minimum of 5 years of planning experience with construction scheduling, project management, or resource coordination.

Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to facilitate meetings and drive accountability.

Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Detail‑oriented with the ability to analyze and validate complex project data.

Ability to work collaboratively across field and office teams.

Physical Requirements

Work involves sitting, walking or standing for extended periods of time in both office and outdoors, sometimes in various adverse weather conditions.

Must be able to repeatedly lift and/or carry weights of five to fifty pounds.

Requires the ability of speaking and/or signaling people to convey or exchange information.

Must have minimal levels of eye/hand/foot coordination.

Numerical Aptitude – This position requires the ability to utilize mathematical formulas; adding and subtracting totals; multiplying and dividing.

Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment, safety glasses, hard hat with chin strap, reflective safety vest, gloves, ear protection, face shield, safety toe boots.

Must be able to travel to various job sites, as needed.
