Order Picker

Job Summary:
Join our fast-paced logistics team as an Order Picker in Des Moines, Iowa! We are seeking energetic and reliable individuals to accurately and efficiently pick products for customer orders. This role is vital to ensuring timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction. You will work with a team to maintain a high level of productivity and accuracy within our warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order lists or scanner data.
• Verify product numbers, descriptions, and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
• Stage picked items in the designated area for packing and shipping.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the mandatory use of PPE.
• Assist with inventory checks and cycle counts as directed.
• Operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as needed.
• Report any damaged items or inventory discrepancies immediately.
• Contribute to the overall success of the warehouse logistics operations.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret pick tickets and product labels.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in picking.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds consistently.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics flow.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Understanding and adherence to all safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
