Base pay range
$150,000.00/yr - $234,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for the CPG product innovation lifecycle within the MVP team, ensuring the product aligns with real-world innovation workflows and constraints.
Leverage prior experience of leading the launch of CPG products in a Fortune 500 company to inform product design, prioritization, and client engagement.
Map and document end-to-end CPG innovation stage-gate processes, identifying automation opportunities and clarifying areas where GenAI should partner with human expertise.
Guide the Product, Engineering, and GTM teams on stage-gate nuances, regulatory checkpoints, and cross-functional handoffs.
Translate innovation best practices into MVP capabilities and roadmap requirements, ensuring the platform accelerates cycle times while maintaining compliance and quality.
Partner with clients during pilots to customize workflows for their category, geography, and regulatory environment.
Contribute to the development of solution playbooks and advisory content for GTM, helping articulate how the product fits into CPG innovation strategies.
Provide leadership and mentorship to ensure internal teams deeply understand CPG innovation culture and decision-making dynamics.

Deep understanding of how innovation is conceived, developed, tested, qualified, and launched within global CPG companies.
Strong operator mindset — able to bridge strategy with practical execution inside complex organizations.
Comfortably navigates both operational and strategic conversations with R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Executive leadership.
Skilled at identifying the human touchpoints in innovation where GenAI can augment rather than replace decision-making.
Able to communicate process insights in a way that is actionable for product designers, data scientists, and GTM teams.
Qualifications and Skills
12+ years of experience in CPG innovation, including direct responsibility for launching products in a Fortune 500 CPG company.
Proven leadership in cross-functional environments involving R&D, Brand/Marketing, and Supply Chain functions.
Expertise in stage-gate or similar product development processes, including portfolio management, regulatory approvals, and launch readiness.
Track record of introducing process automation and/or advanced analytics into innovation workflows.
Exceptional communication skills — able to engage technical teams, client stakeholders, and executives with equal credibility.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Food Science, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
Pay and Benefits The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $150,000 - $234,000. In addition, for the current performance period, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
As a full-time employee or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment. You are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment. The Company provides 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a “free time” PTO policy for sick time or vacation.
