$130,000.00 – $160,000.00 annually, Bonus Potential of 30% of base salary

The company designs and manufactures custom components and subassemblies for leading enterprises and OEMs across industries such as Medical and Life Science, Semiconductor Equipment Manufacturing, Aerospace and Defense, Industrial, Electronics, and Telecommunications.

Job Summary: The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and expanding relationships with assigned strategic accounts while achieving defined business objectives. This role represents a full range of products and services at both engineering and commercial levels, ensuring customer needs and expectations are consistently met.

The position requires technical aptitude related to materials, manufacturing, and applications, along with strong skills in customer analysis, reporting, and strategy execution. Success in this role involves close collaboration with internal teams, active management of opportunities throughout the product life cycle, and ongoing engagement with customers to drive growth and long‑term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive revenue growth and improve profit margins by developing new business opportunities, including new parts and customer relationships.

Demonstrate experience supporting NPI or early-phase product development within Medical Device OEMs or Med-Tech ECMs.

Identify next‑generation customer program needs, support early pipeline development, and partner with customer engineering teams on both new and existing opportunities.

Prospect new opportunities, schedule sales calls, and present technical capabilities and solutions to prospective and existing customers.

Qualify new opportunities to align commercial team goals and objectives with the organization’s current and future capabilities.

Expand relationships into adjacent business units and cross‑functional teams by developing new customer contacts within engineering and commercial departments and maintaining accurate records in the CRM system.

Gather requirement definitions for new applications and support the design development process through revision updates.

Support broader account management activities, including generating monthly, quarterly, and annual account plan updates.

Obtain key customer information, including reporting structures, next‑generation programs, competitive landscape insights, and other business intelligence, and document this information in the CRM system and formal management presentations.

Continuously expand application knowledge to enhance problem‑solving capabilities.

Prepare structured account plans and present updates and reports, including sales performance, forecasts, and month‑end results.

Proactively engage with internal Engineering, Program Management, Operations, and Product Management teams to support quoting, product design and development, and sampling activities.

Coordinate customer interactions, including joint sales calls, technical presentations, business review meetings, and onsite customer visits.

Perform additional related duties that support customer relationships, customer satisfaction, and business development.

Qualifications Required:

Candidates typically bring experience from Business Development, Technical Sales, or Program Management roles within the medical device sector.

Demonstrated technical aptitude, including the ability to understand engineering drawings and prints, materials, engineering workflows, and qualification processes.

Excellent communication skills, including active listening, written and verbal communication, with the ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute.

Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

"Engineered Application" selling experience.

Demonstrated professional business acumen.

Experience with CRM software; Salesforce preferred.

Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and an acceptable driving record.

Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting engineered solutions or NPI‑related development within medical device OEMs or ECMs.

5 to 10 years of relevant work‑related experience.

High school diploma required, plus a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical or Mechanical), a technical degree, or a minimum of 10 years of experience in a technical sales role.

Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, as needed.

Preferred:

Industry experience selling engineered solutions, including flexible and rigid‑flex circuit assemblies, seals, gaskets, and ceramics, into leading medical device manufacturers.

Materials knowledge in one or more of the following areas: films, foils, foams, elastomers, polymers, and ceramics.

Demonstrated track record of successfully expanding relationships and gaining access within customer organizations.

High emotional intelligence with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures typical of large OEMs.

Additional Information:

Travel Requirements: 30%–40%

This position requires access to information controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR.
