Kroger Mountain View Foods . Complete a 4–12 week program (internal 4–6 weeks, external 8–12 weeks) in preparation for a department manager position. Travel within the division to train and provide relief, create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service, and establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return. Achieve sales and profit goals, monitor and control quality assurance standards, direct and supervise all department functions, support day‑to‑day Drug/GM operations, and embrace the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. Responsibilities
Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to help achieve company/store goals. Establish performance goals for the department and empower associates to meet or exceed targets. Develop adequate scheduling to manage customer volume throughout hours of operation. Adhere to all local, state and federal laws, company guidelines, and food safety regulations. Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated. Develop and implement a department business plan to achieve desired results. Create and execute sales promotions in partnership with store management. Inform and educate department associates about current, upcoming and special in‑store promotions. Prepare and submit seasonal critiques for the sales and merchandising supervisor; implement period promotional plan for the department. Maintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions and note discrepancies. Schedule daily, weekly and monthly price changes by updating shelf tags and promotional signs. Plan, organize and supervise the inventory process; monitor/control expenses for the department. Train department associates on inventory/stocking and Computer Assisted Ordering (CAO). Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying the department or store manager of any needed repairs. Report all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud. Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback. Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications
