The Credit Manager is responsible for coordinating all commercial loan and deposit activity in accordance to WPCU policies and procedures, while adhering to state and federal regulations. Responsibilities include: Managing the day-to-day activities of the Member Business Support Coordinators, Small Business Analysts, Treasury Specialists, and Credit Analysts, ensuring assigned business units operate efficiently and reliably, are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, have appropriate operating controls to mitigate risk, and perform at a high level. Reviewing and approving credit analyses and assigning risk grades. Performing analyses on complex credit requests. Providing training and guidance to all departments. Overseeing and managing Small Business loan applications, Treasury activities, and loan closing activities, including closing due diligence and closing documentation. Managing ACH exposure and previewing credit requests with Relationship Managers before submission. Assisting the Member Business Services VP in executing Business Tactics and assisting Relationship Managers as needed. Preparing and developing various reports as required by management to assist in the overall management of MBS. Developing written policy documentation and initiating process improvement and quality reviews to simplify and improve productivity. Assisting the Member Business Services VP in satisfying regulatory requirements and ensuring WPCU adheres to policies and procedures approved by the board of directors. Required Skills: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a Business-related field, and/or a minimum of 10 years of experience as a credit analyst and/or portfolio manager. Previous experience leading a team in a project management, supervisory, or team lead capacity, with a proven ability to learn complex concepts and apply them appropriately. Understanding of the Credit Union movement, WPCU products and services, and the ability to effectively communicate these differences. Demonstrated ability to learn and utilize necessary software to complete job functions. Working knowledge of income statements, balance sheets, and other corporate financial documents, as well as SBA lending programs, including SBA 7(a), SBA 504, and SBA Express.
