About the Program
Montefiore Medical Center has a range of outpatient addiction treatment programs that can assist individuals in reaching their goals. With a focus on harm reduction and patient-centered care, these comprehensive treatment programs provide medically assisted treatment, including methadone, naltrexone and buprenorphine treatment, as well as group and individual counseling, primary medical and psychiatric care, and vocational and peer services. Montefiore's Opioid Treatment Programs offer methadone and other empirically supported medications to assist individuals struggling with opioid use, while our Intensive Outpatient Programs provide treatment for individuals with a range of substance use disorders, including opiates, alcohol, cocaine, marijuana, benzodiazepines, PCP, methamphetamine and others.
Qualifications
Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine and completed an Addiction Medicine Fellowship. Must have led addiction treatment within an Opioid Treatment Program and an Intensive Outpatient Program. Opportunity for teaching and supervising medical students, medical residents and post-doctoral fellows. Ability to obtain a New York State Medical License is required.
Responsibilities
- Lead our team of dedicated addiction treatment professionals including 1 MD and 2 PAs.
- Teach and supervise medical students, medical residents and post-doctoral fellows.
- Obtain and maintain a New York State Medical License.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary of $275,000-290,000 plus productivity incentives. Includes paid malpractice, CME stipend, health, dental, vision, 403(b) and 457 tax shelters, LTD, STD and much more. The program is also an approved site for the NHSC Substance Use Disorder Workforce Loan Repayment Program, providing up to $75,000 in student loan repayment in exchange for a 3-year service commitment.
