We are currently seeking a EMT Program Director to join our team. The Director will be responsible for the direction of curriculum and instruction of the EMT Program at US Colleges. The Program Director will act as a liaison to other departments and employees working in concert to properly market to and enroll prospective EMT students through training and information sharing.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Curriculum Management – The laws of EMS are constantly changing and evolving. California’s EMS Directives are a combination of both state and local guidelines, meaning there is a constant update needed to maintain compliance.
- Instructor Acquisition/Evaluation/Scheduling – Responsible for finding qualified candidates, scheduling instructors, and evaluating their performance by sitting in on lectures and assessing student progress and pass rates.
- Lead Instructor – Will serve as the Lead Instructor, whose license is on file with the applicable County, and will likely be responsible for teaching most of the class sessions.
- Marketing/Admissions Support – The EMT Program is new to the US College system. Assist marketing and admissions staff in finding the right students and adjusting lead generation to ensure counselors are targeting truly interested applicants.
- Branch Campus Management – Responsible for creating and approving programs at additional campuses, working with the Director of Education to meet local governing body requirements.
Qualifications
- Paramedic with NREMT certification at minimum, or:
- Physician, Registered Nurse (RN), Physician Assistant (PA), or a Paramedic currently licensed in California, with at least two years of academic or clinical experience in emergency medicine or prehospital care in the last five years.
