Responsibilities
- Review tax returns, tax workpapers, and tax projections.
- Possess strong technical skills in partnerships, C‑corporations, and S‑corporations (knowledge of individual taxation is a plus).
- Provide effective consulting, planning and compliance for clients.
- Perform tax research to resolve issues.
- Oversee and manage the day‑to‑day needs of clients and the tax return process, including identification and resolution of tax issues.
- Work to expand the client base and support business development activities.
- Participate in industry or service line‑related organizations.
- Maintain strong relationships with a highly proactive approach to serving clients.
- Coordinate with partners to ensure timeliness and effective communication for proper planning of projects.
- Coaching, mentoring, and training staff.
- Maintain knowledge of new tax issues and general business trends that affect clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s in Taxation preferred; CPA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive public accounting experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of managing multiple client engagements.
- A track record of building and sustaining client relationships and high‑quality client service.
- Outstanding analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Proficient with CCH Axcess, Sureprep, BNA Income Tax Planner, CCH AnswerConnect, RIA Checkpoint, XCM, and Microsoft Office.
- Bilingual English & Spanish preferred.
Location: Coral Gables, FL. This is a hybrid position.
