Base pay range $114,024.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr

Duties & Responsibilities Purpose of Position:

Under general direction, with latitude for independent judgment and initiative, is responsible for the development and implementation of training programs to enhance staff competency in delivering services that are patient-centered, culturally sensitive, and in line with the System’s ICARE principles.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement training programs, including mandatory trainings, seminars, and workshops ensuring alignment with organizational goals, regulatory standards, and best practices.

Develop and implement career ladder training and educational programs in collaboration with educational institutions and external stakeholders to enhance advancement opportunities through structured career pathways.

Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across the System and health care settings leadership to support the roll‑out of training programs and integrate training initiatives.

Conduct research and analysis to determine current and future workforce needs, identifying potential talent gaps and shortage areas.

Participate in the planning and development of workforce development programs and advise on workforce needs and availability.

Develop counseling and support services to assist participants in career development programs.

Coordinate system-wide job opportunity and career development activities.

May determine funding requirements for job opportunity and career development programs and manage the budget, expenditures and strategic direction of workforce development funds. Prepare requests to Federal, State or other agencies to secure such funds.

Compile and review data to evaluate the success of training programs. Present key findings to department leadership and other stakeholders, making recommendations for improving methods of training.

Direct informational activities relating to training, job opportunity and career development programs in order to assist with recruitment efforts.

Perform related duties, as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Education, Business Management, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, Psychology, Public Administration or a related discipline; and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in planning, workforce development and training programs, healthcare or public health administration related to training, development and workforce analysis, three (3) years of which must have been in a managerial or supervisory capacity related to the organization, formulation, development and implementation of such plans and programs; or,

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in one of the disciplines listed above; and six (6) years of progressively responsible experience as described in the first bullet, four (4) years of which must have been in a managerial or supervisory capacity related to the organization, formulation, development and implementation of such plans and programs.

Demonstration of sensitivity to persons with a psychiatric diagnosis who exhibit challenging behaviors

Demonstration of potential to effectively present information and teach/demonstrate skills to others in a classroom situation

Demonstrated superior skills as a direct care staff in Psychiatry especially in areas of verbal calming skills with patients diagnosed with psychiatric conditions.

Experience in using audio‑visual technology (computer/LCD, PowerPoint, etc.) for educational delivery

Ability to create a dynamic learning environment ensuring BHA’s achieve the necessary skills mandated by the course curricula and course objectives

Evaluate employee’s performance by verifying their understanding of the course material, competency in learned skills, and ability to demonstrate applied knowledge
