Pipe Layer – Greene Resources
Location: Raleigh, NC
Pay: $22–$30/hour
Type: Full-time; Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00/6:00 PM
Experience: At least 1 year installing underground utilities or related pipe systems on heavy civil or site development projects.
Education: High School Diploma.
Job Description
Install and maintain water, sewer, and storm drain systems on heavy civil projects.
Install ductile iron, RCP, PVC, and HDPE piping systems.
Set and align pipe to the proper line and grade using lasers or hand levels.
Work alongside equipment operators during trenching and backfill operations.
Assist with trench preparation, bedding, and grading activities.
Follow trench protection and jobsite safety protocols at all times.
Maintain tools, materials, and overall jobsite cleanliness.
Communicate daily progress with crew leaders and foremen.
Position Requirements
Experience working safely around heavy equipment such as excavators and backhoes.
Knowledge of ductile iron and reinforced concrete pipe installation methods.
Ability to read grade stakes and follow installation specifications.
Reliable transportation and the ability to commute to job sites.
Physical ability to work outdoors year-round and lift up to 75 lbs.
Strong teamwork mindset and commitment to quality workmanship.
