Pharmacist - Retail Meds to Bed
Full-time / 40 hours per week / 1st shift

Summary Ensures the safe, efficacious, and cost‑effective preparation and use of medications. Conducts practice of pharmacy in accordance with federal and state laws, regulations, and hospital policy and procedures. Participates in ongoing evaluations to ensure quality patient care. Works well within a team environment; accepts and offers honest and constructive feedback; supports team goals and encourages other team members; and collaborates with patient‑care team members to consolidate work, solve problems, and create new methods to reduce costs when necessary. Shows flexibility/adaptability in meeting environmental constraints and demands placed on services, as commonly associated with changing reimbursement and managed‑care targets.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Pharm D in pharmacy
Current licensure in the State of Ohio
Experience & Training Required
Working knowledge of pharmacy law
Dexterity to operate a computer terminal, calculator, and other office equipment; manipulate fine instruments; prepare pharmaceutical entities in minute proportions
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with patients, pharmacists, nurses, technicians, physicians, third‑party payors, and other healthcare personnel
Must maintain confidentiality of patient and department records
Ability to self‑direct to execute responsibilities within a team structure in a fast‑paced, professional retail environment
Population Specific Competency
Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self‑respect and dignity
Physical Demands: Sedentary—exerts up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently. Coordination required for close repetitive tasks such as counting, pouring, and labeling. Hazards include exposure to blood, body fluids, and sharps; risk of falls, strains, contagious diseases, cuts from broken glass, needle punctures, etc. Possible exposure to selected hazardous substances (e.g., alcohol, chemotherapeutic agents, etc.). Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, push, pull, carry, and lift light to medium loads
Salary USD 63.00 – 75.61 per hour (base salary exclusive of bonuses or differentials)
