Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Manufacturing CAD Technician
to support the development and maintenance of facility layout drawings. This role involves gathering layout data from multiple sources, updating existing drawings in
DraftSight , and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure accuracy and alignment with project requirements. The ideal candidate will be detail‑oriented, proactive, and able to manage tight timelines while maintaining effective communication with shop‑floor teams.
Key Responsibilities
Collect and organize facility layout data, including equipment, workstations, electrical panels, and other elements.
Update and maintain layout drawings using DraftSight.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and other teams to validate data and understand new project requirements.
Track progress and ensure activities remain on schedule.
Demonstrate flexibility and problem‑solving skills to meet project deadlines.
Communicate effectively with shop‑floor personnel and cross‑functional teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
3–7+ years of experience in mechanical drafting or facility layout design.
Proficiency in DraftSight, AutoCAD, Windchill, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of drafting processes and standards.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
Work Environment On‑site position in Orlando, FL. Standard business hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Job Type & Location Contract to Hire based out of Orlando, FL.
Pay and Benefits Pay range: $25.00 – $35.00/hr. Benefits include medical, dental, & vision; critical illness, accident, and hospital; 401(k) retirement plan with pre‑tax and Roth contributions; life insurance (voluntary life & AD&D); short and long‑term disability; Health Spending Account (HSA); transportation benefits; employee assistance program; PTO, vacation, or sick leave.
