Patient Account Rep – Radiology

Job Summary This full‑time, day shift position (40 hours per week) is a key member of the Radiology department’s Patient Income and Accounts Department. The successful candidate will greet and process patients, obtain and verify insurance reimbursement, handle billing and financial inquiries, and maintain internal and external records, ensuring compliance with all hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities
Greet, collect and process all incoming patients to gather necessary demographic information.
Verify patient insurance & reimbursement, obtain preauthorization as required.
Maintain accurate and compliant patient records.
Collaborate with other department teams and may float to other areas if needed.
Job Requirements
Minimum of 1 year experience in an acute care setting preferred but not required.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Detail oriented with strong organizational ability.
Basic computer skills, familiar with HMO/PPO contracts (beneficial).
Medical terminology knowledge is a plus.
