Partner Sales Executive, North America Channel

Partner Sales Executive will report to the Director, Americas Channel Sales and manage both farming and hunting activities within the North America territory. The role is focused on building and expanding reseller and distributor partner relationships to achieve annual growth quotas.
Location: US or Canada
Responsibilities
Develop and execute channel strategy for distributors and resellers within the assigned territory.
Increase awareness of Canonical as a leader in Open Source and Cloud (Private, Hybrid, Multi‑cloud, and Public).
Identify, prospect and recruit new partners.
Leverage personal network to engage partners and build on existing relationships.
Guide partners through onboarding and enablement.
Develop mutually beneficial go‑to‑market plans and commitments.
Arrange and execute sales and pre‑sales trainings for resellers.
Drive and manage channel pipeline through recurring partner interactions.
Act as trusted advisor and point of contact for partner satisfaction.
Maintain regular contact with priority resellers and distributors.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technology field.
Experience in software or technology sales, especially in the channel partner market.
Fluency in English.
Understanding of open source, Linux and Ubuntu.
Self‑starter with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
Detail oriented with strong follow‑up skills.
Effective negotiating skills and ability to close sales.
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills (written and verbal).
Ability to work productively in a globally distributed team.
Mature approach to long‑term relationship development with customers.
Ability to represent the company at external events.
Start‑up experience is an advantage.
