Job Description Joining The American Red Cross is a unique experience – you become a vital part of the world’s largest humanitarian network. In this role you’ll focus on developing partnerships with African American blood drive coordinators and donor groups to grow diverse blood collection targets for area blood drives.
Responsibilities
Develop partnerships with African American current and potential blood drive coordinators and blood donor groups to grow diverse blood collection targets for area blood drives.
Use technical knowledge to solve routine types of problems and support donor recruitment efforts.
Serve as an individual contributor under close supervision.
Scope Individual contributor that works under close supervision. Uses technical knowledge to solve routine types of problems.
Travel May be required to travel to sites throughout the Red Cross organization.
Physical Requirements Employee must regularly sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk or hear. Employee may need to reach, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must frequently lift up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work environment includes moderate noise and a small cubicle environment.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience:
Minimum one‑year related experience required or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Management Experience:
N/A
Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of group dynamics, direct sales, customer maintenance techniques, negotiation skills, and the ability to implement programs; good organizational skills; ability to handle multiple priorities; excellent oral and written communication, training and presentation skills; current valid driver’s license and good driving record; ability to work on a team.
Travel:
May be required to travel to sites throughout the Red Cross organization.
