South Texas Blood & Tissue Center (STBTC), a subsidiary of BioBridge Global, is an AABB-accredited blood bank operating nine donor centers in South Texas. The organization distributes blood, plasma, platelets, and other components to regional hospitals and emergency first responders, and provides starting materials to therapeutic developers, clinical research services, and a FACT‑accredited apheresis center.

General Summary Responsible to achieve established blood collection goals by recruiting community businesses, religious institutions, organizations, and groups to sponsor blood drives and educate and inform their members about the functions and needs of the community Blood Donor Program.

Major Duties And Responsibilities

Achieve established blood collection goals within department guidelines, including whole blood and apheresis.

Plan and foster consistent territorial production goal achievement within CPUC guidelines.

Identify, develop, and implement creative strategies to attract potential sponsors consistent with organizational goals.

Prepare individual account and territorial management plans to maximize production.

Include flexible approaches to offer comprehensive products that reflect benefits of whole blood and platelet donations.

Coordinate recruitment drives, including logistics, supplies, volunteer help, education, and media coverage.

Follow and execute steps for a 10‑week recruitment account timeline for blood drives.

Document all activities in Hemacollect or the appropriate CRM platform.

Develop and maintain effective relationships with blood drive sponsors and execute the 10‑week plan.

Prospect new organizations and groups to sponsor blood drives and mobile platelet operations.

Practice active listening to satisfy the voice of the customer.

Provide educational events to the community regarding the Blood Donor Program.

Coordinate and support community blood drives, including scheduling, volunteer recruitment, education, and media coverage.

Maintain accurate records, tracking, and statistical data.

Assist with public relations requests for departmental, newspaper, radio, and television deadlines.

Prepare material for special events, media, or visitors.

Coordinate booths at fairs and special events.

Collaborate closely with recruitment and Donor Services staff to provide world‑class service delivery.

Assist coworkers with assigned job tasks as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Assist in other recruitment areas as directed.

Education High school diploma or general equivalency diploma required.

Licenses and Certifications Texas Operator Driver’s License required.

Experience Requires two years of customer service or event planning/management experience. Outside‑sales experience is required.

Knowledge

Thorough understanding of relationship‑selling process.

Comprehensive working knowledge of all phases of the Blood Donor Program.

Familiarity with the local community and serviced area.

Ability to handle multiple assignments and deadlines.
