Provider Relations Manager – Chicagoland
Rise Up for Autism (RUFA) is expanding across Chicagoland and we’re looking for a field-based, relationship-driven Provider Relations Manager to own and grow our pediatric referral network. Our mission is to provide high-quality, compassionate Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services that empower our clients to reach their full potential. Rise Up for Autism (RUFA) is seeking a
field-based Provider Relations Manager
to lead the development and growth of our pediatric referral network across the Chicagoland area. This role is responsible for
creating, strengthening, and expanding referral sources
through direct, in-person engagement with pediatricians, medical practices, and community partners.
This position is
ideally suited for former pharmaceutical, medical device, or healthcare sales professionals
who are comfortable owning a territory, building provider trust, and driving
measurable referral volume .
The Provider Relations Manager plays a critical role in expanding access to autism services for children and families while supporting RUFA’s continued growth.
Responsibilities
Own a defined Chicagoland territory
Conduct in-person, door-to-door outreach to pediatric and specialty practices
Secure lunch-and-learns, represent RUFA at community events and health fairs, and provider meetings
Build and grow active referral sources
Drive measurable referral volume month over month
Track activity, referrals, and conversion in a CRM or tracker
Qualifications
2+ years of provider-facing healthcare sales or outreach experience (pharmaceutical, medical device, diagnostics, specialty services, or similar)
Proven experience calling on physician offices: Comfortable engaging pediatricians, office managers, MAs, and nurses. Understands office flow, gatekeepers, and access strategies
Field-based / door-to-door outreach experience: This is not a remote or desk role. Must be comfortable spending most days in the field
Territory management experience: Ability to plan routes, prioritize targets, and maintain visit cadence. Experience owning a geographic footprint with goals
Track record of measurable performance: Able to speak to metrics (volume, growth, access, targets, referrals, etc.). Comfortable being measured on outcomes, not activity alone
Strong follow-up and organization skills: Can manage multiple relationships without things falling through. Uses a CRM or structured tracking system
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Bachelor's Degree in related field
Required Skills
Comfortable in the field — not behind a desk
Experience calling on physician offices (pediatrics preferred)
Knows how to manage a territory, follow a call plan, and hit targets
Motivated by metrics, growth, and visibility
Former pharma, medical device, or healthcare sales reps (focus on pediatrics) preferred
Preferred Skills
Pediatric, behavioral health, ABA, therapy, or specialty care experience
Existing relationships with pediatric providers in the Chicagoland area
Experience conducting lunch-and-learns and in-service presentations
CRM or sales tracking system experience
