Our client is seeking a highly motivated
RNG Plant Manager
to oversee the daily operations of a new renewable energy facility in White Plains, KY. This role will manage the plant’s resources, be responsible for optimizing plant performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and leading a team of operators and technicians.
The facility is scheduled to go online in Spring 2026. This is a rare opportunity to join a growing team at the ground floor of a major project, in this role, you're encouraged to run this plant like a small business working in a decentralized model environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
Responsible for the operations and maintenance of landfill gas collection and control systems (GCCS) supporting a High-BTU landfill gas plant.
Supervise and direct technicians and contractors.
Monitor performance and optimize processes to maximize gas recovery, efficiency, uptime, and production.
Oversee maintenance, repairs, preventive schedules, and contractor coordination.
Manage budgets, inventory, procurement, and supplier contracts.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements; lead audits and implement corrective actions.
Develop and enforce plant policies, safety procedures, and best practices.
Build and maintain stakeholder relationships with site management, regulators, and local communities.
Support corporate and site-level goals for safety, performance, and profitability.
What You'll Need:
5‑10 years of experience Landfill RNG or gas processing facilities.
Strong background in mechanical/electrical troubleshooting.
Experience with rotating equipment, compression systems, or industrial HVAC/chiller systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self‑disciplined, self‑managing, and proactive; comfortable working independently.
Bonus points: Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to landfill gas and renewable energy.
Ability to travel to other districts/regions as needed.
