Job Title JBS Live Pork – Sow Field Manager (Remote – NW Missouri region)

Summary of Position JBS Live Pork, LLC has opportunities available for Field Manager. Each position will work directly with a designated group of contract pork producers to assist them in troubleshooting problem areas and provide solutions for improving production. The role also helps manage customer relationships as well as provide documentation of on‑farm reports.

You will work with your Production Manager to arrive at solutions and make decisions that will impact your area and your business unit profitability. Through farm visits, producer meetings and information sharing, you will aid the producers in finding the most successful ways of maximizing production on their farm.

This position will oversee approximately 7 contractor producer sites and 30,000 sows and 2 finisher sites in the area. In addition, the field manager helps manage the producer relationship and assist in contract renewals.

Key Accountabilities

40% – Pork Producer Training

20% – Auditing Facility and Environmental compliance and helping producers meet compliance by offering solutions

20% – Setting breed targets, gilt flow, inventory management

20% – Ordering med/vet supplies, monitoring on‑farm record keeping, analyzing production reports

Key Responsibilities

Coaching, training, and developing new contract Farm Managers

Animal Welfare and environmental compliance by offering solutions

Medication/vet ordering

Bio‑Security compliance and action planning

Assisting in controlling costs associated with feed, supplies, and labor

Maintaining accurate number integrity for record keeping

Coordinating and overseeing completion of special projects

Making recommendations for operational improvements

Any other duties assigned by the Production Manager

Required Qualifications

Relocation to the NW Missouri Region

BS/BA degree in Agriculture or related field, and 3 years’ live pork swine production experience

Computer knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

80%–day travel required, occasional overnight travel

Ability to motivate and inspire people to achieve high goals

Problem‑solving skills

Knowledge of overall business strategy and operations

Proficiency in spreadsheet, database, and word‑processing software

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Exceptional organizational and communication skills

Valid driver’s license

Physical ability to bend, push, pull, twist, and lift approximately 60+ lbs

Maintained vehicle 6 years or newer for frequent travel to facilities

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual: English‑Spanish

5 years swine production experience

Previous swine field manager experience

Working Conditions

Must work safely in a physically demanding, live production environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs and walking through pens of animals

Must work in a variety of conditions: heat during summer months and cold in winter months

Must work in an environment exposed to odors, dusts, and gases that may be uncomfortable or hazardous if proper procedures are not followed
