We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Technical Strategist
to provide Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) and portfolio oversight for critical IT modernization, cybersecurity, and infrastructure initiatives. The selected candidate will assess project health, ensure compliance with governance standards, and support project risk mitigation.
Responsibilities:
Conduct IV&V reviews across major IT projects. Review documentation such as charters, schedules, risk registers, and contracts. Evaluate project deliverables for quality and compliance. Identify and track project risks and issues; recommend mitigation strategies. Deliver reports including: IV&V Service Plans Monthly Health Assessments Risk Logs and Mitigation Recommendations Final Project Closeout Reports Collaborate with stakeholders while maintaining independent judgment. Support portfolio-level reporting and governance.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years in IT project management of large-scale technology projects. 5+ years delivering IV&V or QA services. Experience working in regulated/public sector environments. Strong understanding of PMBOK, risk management, and QA principles. Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or related field (required). PMP certification (preferred). CSM, CQA, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
