Overview We are seeking a senior-level IT Business Analyst to support mission‑critical applications for a large public‑sector environment. The role collaborates closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and support system and application initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead business analysis activities for complex IT initiatives
Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define business and system requirements
Develop and document functional, technical, and business requirements
Support RFP development, including requirements documentation and cost estimates
Perform impact analysis and establish action plans
Develop and support test strategies, test plans, and test cases
Create process models, use cases, swim lanes, and sequence diagrams
Act as liaison between vendors, technical teams, and business users
Identify risks and issues and elevate appropriately
Support strategic IT initiatives and enterprise planning efforts
Required Skills & Experience
Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies and process modeling
Experience with SDLC methodologies (Agile, CMMI, or similar)
Experience documenting business, functional, and technical requirements
Experience in project estimation, planning, and forecasting
Strong understanding of application development environments and tools
Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and Visio
Experience drafting RFP requirements for IT solutions and services
Ability to perform project‑level analysis and documentation
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Experience coordinating testing activities with business SMEs
Education Bachelor’s degree preferred; degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, Project Management, Mathematics, or related field preferred.
