Position Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Customs & Trade Compliance Manager to serve as the central point of coordination for all tariff-related matters across components, machines, and spare parts. This role will lead U.S. customs compliance operations and work cross‑functionally with key internal stakeholders and external partners to manage risk, ensure regulatory alignment, and simulate the financial impacts of evolving trade regulations.

This role reports directly to the Vice President of Finance and plays a strategic part in managing both compliance execution and financial forecasting related to tariffs and trade.

Key Responsibilities

Centralize tariff compliance for all inbound and outbound shipments (components, finished goods, and service parts).

Serve as the primary liaison with our customs broker (MED) and U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP).

Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal departments—including Logistics, Purchasing, Sales, and Finance—to ensure trade compliance alignment.

Lead and coordinate duty drawback processes, ensuring maximum financial recovery.

Oversee the application and execution of Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) activities in coordination with PNA operations.

Monitor U.S. customs and trade regulation developments and assess their potential financial impact.

Develop financial simulations and scenario analyses to quantify the business impact of tariff changes, including landed cost and margin effects.

Ensure accurate product classification under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), proper valuation, and country of origin determination.

Manage audit readiness and respond to CBP inquiries and compliance reviews.

Utilize systems such as ACE, SAP (GTS or equivalent), and trade compliance tools for data management, reporting, and risk mitigation.

Create and maintain internal SOPs, compliance documentation, and training materials to promote awareness and accountability across teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

5–10 years of progressive experience in U.S. customs and trade compliance.

Demonstrated expertise in HTS classification, duty drawback, FTZ operations, and trade compliance best practices.

Strong analytical skills, with proven experience in financial modeling and impact simulation.

Familiarity with ACE, CBP systems, and ERP platforms such as SAP GTS.

Preferred: Licensed Customs Broker and/or relevant certifications (e.g., CCS, CUSECO).
