Exam Proctoring Ctr Support Specialist
Provide day-to-day administrative support in the Exam Proctoring Center (EPC) in Student Accessibility Services (SAS) to ensure that students with disabilities receive exam accommodations, such as extended time on tests. Maintain related records and coordinate personnel and technological logistics for exams; administer accommodations for tests; interface with students and faculty to schedule exams; facilitate exam return to faculty; assist with student employee supervision including training sessions for students; and perform general office management duties. Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for students from diverse backgrounds.
Ensure designated accommodations are arranged according to established procedures, interact with university administration, faculty and staff and coordinate closely with SAS Specialists and assist to recruit, hire, train, and supervise and ensure a multiculturally competent EPC student staff. Utilize a familiarity with technology, software, and equipment in order to facilitate equal access for students.
Utilize knowledge of the federal regulations to maintain support for students with disabilities, and help carry out the mission of SAS, which includes a commitment to inclusiveness, social justice, and to fostering a collaborative, multicultural environment. Report to SAS Manager.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Associate degree with a minimum of two to three years’ relevant experience in either an office setting, human services, higher education or related field.
Knowledge of word‑processing, applicable technology, adaptive software, and database management skills required.
Effective communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills required.>
Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to give attention to detail and to maintain confidentiality of information required.
Commitment to serving diverse populations.
Comfort with and demonstrated commitment to inclusiveness/social justice and to fostering a collaborative environment required.
Ability to type and enter data into database accurately and in a timely fashion.
Desirable Qualifications None specified.
Anticipated Pay Range
$24.62/hour
Special Conditions
Probationary period may be required.
Occasional evening and/or weekend work required.
Position is ineligible for telework due to essential functions.
