Job Summary Morrison Healthcare, a division of Compass Group, is a leading national food and nutrition services company dedicated to serving over 600 hospitals and healthcare systems. We seek a Café Retail Manager to oversee daily operations of a retail café in an acute care setting in Orlando, FL. The role requires a dynamic, entrepreneurial manager who seeks continuous improvement in operations, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily administrative and operational tasks.
Handle all aspects of staff management.
Manage all financials, including budget development, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Maintain knowledge of marketplace trends.
Control costs and manage expenditures for the account.
Ensure sanitation and safety of assigned unit(s).
Purchase and manage inventory.
Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with marketing and culinary teams.
Act as the direct liaison with the client.
Preferred Qualifications
Culinary degree preferred, or A.A. Degree plus related experience.
Three or more years of supervisory experience in food service operations.
Experience in healthcare, senior living, retirement, or related environment desirable.
Knowledge of retail, food, and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
Strong leadership, management, and coaching skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, e‑mail, Internet, and related programs.
ServSafe® Certified.
