Job Summary
As Director of Sales at Xumo, you will drive relationships with leading agencies and advertisers in the Midwest territory, grow video investments, build a strong pipeline, and manage large multi‑brand accounts in the streaming video and CTV space. You’ll strategize and execute complex sales initiatives, influence decision makers, and close high‑impact deals.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Minimum of 8 years of experience working with top 200 US advertisers and holding companies selling premium video and CTV nationally.
- Manages a revenue quota as the “general manager” of the book of business.
- Prospects and builds a strong active pipeline of new business.
- Gives a consultative, client‑centric sales approach with strong communication skills, delivering a clear value proposition based on customer use cases.
- Identifies growth areas and key upsell opportunities for additional company technologies and services.
- Retains the client through renewals and relationship growth.
- Understands client’s business model, objectives, KPIs, technical architecture, partnerships, and organizational structure.
- Ensures overall client satisfaction and execution to meet business goals.
- Acts as the primary point of contact for all revenue and strategic initiatives.
- Moves opportunities through the sales cycle from prospecting to completion – including proposal, negotiation, contracting, and approvals for complex deals.
- Consistently meets and exceeds quarterly/annual revenue and booking targets.
- Liaises with internal teams to champion customer needs and advocate for solutions to grow revenue.
- Works cross‑functionally to execute go‑to‑market strategies and drive initiatives.
- Represents the company at industry events, cultivating business relationships and trust.
- Understands the premium video advertising business, the TV and cable industry, and typical enterprise media companies.
- Exercising independent judgment and discretion in significant matters.
- Maintains regular, consistent, and punctual attendance and works nights, weekends, and variable schedule as needed.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Additional Info
- Position is office‑based in Chicago, IL (4 days in office & 1 day remote) with 30‑40% travel within the local & Midwest territory.

Salary
Primary Location Pay Range: $158,920.68 – $238,381.01. Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job‑related, non‑discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from posting or earlier if applicant volume requires.
Targeted Commission: $135,000.00. Our sales compensation programs offer the potential for significant upside above targeted earnings for those who overachieve.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards. Most sales positions are eligible for Commission; most non‑sales positions are eligible for Bonus. Comcast also offers best‑in‑class benefits and support.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree (preferred). Comcast will also consider applicants with coursework and experience or extensive related professional experience.
Relevant Work Experience
10+ years in similar roles.
