Family's Introduction to Nanny
Dear Au Pair,
We are an American/Spanish family moving from the USA to Spain in July 2024. We are looking for a big‑sister figure to support our children on a split schedule from Monday to Friday. The role involves helping with morning routines, after‑school pickups, homework support, kitchen duties, light housekeeping, and running occasional errands. The nanny must hold a valid driver’s license, be comfortable cooking, and not require EU visa sponsorship.
Preferred candidates come from Germany, Austria, or Switzerland so that the children can speak German. We also welcome Mandarin speakers as the children take Chinese classes.
Schedule
07:00‑09:00 – Wake up kids, help them get dressed, brush teeth, breakfast, and transport to school.
15:00‑20:00 – Pick up kids, support homework, after‑school activities, prepare dinner, bedtime routine.
Other responsibilities include light tidying, occasional errands (groceries, doctor appointments). 20‑minute commute from Madrid city center via public transportation.
Benefits
Private room and bathroom in our townhouse.
Cell phone and plan.
Gym membership.
Transportation.
Access to our community pool.
Spanish language course or other of your choosing.
Pocket money negotiable (based on experience).
Four weeks paid vacation agreed in advance.
Sick days as needed.
