This position supports investment management within the Wealth Management department by following fiduciary and prudent investor guidelines, creating, monitoring, and maintaining Wealth Management policies, and implementing investment strategies for internal and external customers. The role enhances customer service by retaining and expanding existing business relationships and developing new client relationships.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provide investment support to Portfolio Managers.
Communicate investment recommendations to account holders and beneficiaries.
Select investments consistent with account objectives and beneficiary needs.
Comply with trust documents and investment policy language.
Analyze and purchase individual stocks and bonds as delegated by Portfolio Managers.
Present investment information at client meetings, including performance results.
Aid in the preparation of requests for proposals and other internal or external meeting documents.
Assist with the valuation of closely held assets in fiduciary accounts as needed.
Develop business through client meetings and contacts with referral sources, including private banking, business banking, centers of influence, etc.
Participate in discussions in strategic meetings to discuss investment initiatives and pipeline calls.
Skills and Qualifications
Strong analytical skills to evaluate financial data, develop strategies, and make informed investment decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with clients, explain complex concepts, and maintain strong client relationships.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage detailed account information and track performance.
Ability to analyze situations, assess risks, and make sound investment decisions.
Bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred certifications: Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
2 years or more relevant experience in investment management, financial markets, portfolio management, or a related field.
