is a nonprofit UnitedWay agency dedicated to providing support and services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families throughout northeast Louisiana since 1954. Our mission is to empower individuals with I/DD to lead fulfilling and independent lives through our supported living services, vocational services, and community ventures services. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Uphold and demonstrate ARCO’s mission, values, and service philosophy
Analyze information and apply sound judgment to administrative and operational tasks
Utilize Microsoft Office applications to create and maintain documents, spreadsheets, databases, and reports
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to interpret guidelines and complete required documentation
Monitor and comply with regulatory and funding requirements
Coordinate information from multiple sources to ensure accurate and timely billing
Organize, maintain, and properly dispose of electronic and paper records in accordance with legal and agency standards
Use tablets and digital systems proficiently to support data entry, reporting, and communication
Communicate complex information clearly and professionally with staff and stakeholders
JOB SUMMARY This assistant aids the COO to perform or oversee actual functions of assuring that the internal workings related to service plans, billing, DOTD data entry and record management are efficient, accurate, and compliant with government and agency standards. This assistant provides back-up in the management of the direct support programs, including transportation, as needed due to absence of personnel, and participates as a team member regarding administrative or direct support concerns.
To assist the Billing Department, Plan Coordination, Transportation Department, and Human Resources Department with multiple clerical duties, this employee performs the duties of filing and retrieving, coping, and similar clerical supports for the different departments. Employees will assure safe retention of records and follow agency policy regarding distribution and destruction. This will include the use of customized software for data entry, database, and spreadsheet creation and/or maintenance, typing, filing, and use of general office equipment.
