Responsibilities

Manage day‑to‑day operations of the property including resident satisfaction and retention, full resident lifecycle activities (lease administration, rent collection, delinquency management), property P&L, and marketing in accordance with company standards.

Meet client expectations and provide an excellent customer service experience.

Recruit, interview, give corrective feedback, and hire associates.

Create a climate where associates want to do their best by leading and communicating a shared vision and providing coaching and development.

Execute the strategic marketing plan to attract and retain residents.

Understand the operations guidelines established within the property‑management agreement.

Respond to resident complaints and issues, and serve as liaison to residents and the corporate office regarding common‑area maintenance and enforcement of landlord rules.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and networking.

Organize and implement site disaster and emergency evacuation plans.

Manage property and associate safety records, loss claims, and risk‑management initiatives.

Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Two to three years of property‑management experience required.

One to two years of direct management experience required.

Knowledge of resident rental lifecycle activities required.

Real‑estate license preferred or may be required in some locations.

Knowledge of Salesforce.com preferred.

Prior experience with Yardi Voyager or an equivalent system preferred.

Skills and Requirements

Very strong organizational and time‑management skills.

Strong interpersonal skills to communicate sensitively with all levels of management.

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Sensitivity to confidential matters required.

Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast‑paced environment with a strong sense of urgency.

Ability to relay technical concerns with adequate detail, quickly and accurately.

Capability to read, write, comprehend, and converse in English.

Ability to use general office equipment (telephone, fax, printer, copier, key‑track system).

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to others.

Ability to defuse situations involving angry or difficult people.

Must maintain a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
