Sam's Club is looking for a dedicated associate to prepare fresh food items and rotisserie chicken for our members. You will follow recipes, ensure product quality, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Base Pay Range $16.00/hr – $23.00/hr
Position Summary Do you have a knack for helping people, following recipes, and keeping things organized? Our Prepared Meals and Rotisserie Chicken associates prepare fresh food daily for members while wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise to keep our products at their best. You’ll also manage multiple tasks, help with bakery orders, and deliver a friendly smile that makes the difference between a good shopping experience and a great one.”
Responsibilities
Prepare fresh food items and rotisserie chicken according to company recipes.
Wrap, label, and store merchandise to ensure freshness and customer safety.
Sweep, clean, and sanitize work areas and maintain temperature control.
Check expiration dates, dispose of lower‑quality products, and maintain accurate inventory.
Assist members with food selections and answer product questions.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to keep shelves organized and meet sales goals.
Handle claims, returns, and other customer service tasks while following company policies.
What You’ll Do
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of product specifications and collaborate with teammates.
Prepare food according to item specifications, plan future productions, and adhere to food safety standards.
Leverage digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience.
Own the performance of the prepared foods area, manage inventory, reduce waste, and meet quality standards.
Advocate for the department and model high‑quality service and products among peers.
Comply with company policies and ethical standards, using the Open Door Policy as needed.
Complete work assignments, prioritize tasks, and recommend improvement opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Completes all required trainings and assessments within the prescribed time period.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in food service or food handling.
Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).
