Job Description – Inside Sales Title Inside Sales / Counter Sales
Summary The Macomb Group, a recognized leading distributor in the Midwest for Pipe, Valve, and Fittings, is seeking a full‑time inside sales representative with mechanical and industrial piping experience. The successful candidate will prepare quotations and handle inside and counter sales responsibilities at our Lima, Ohio location. We differentiate ourselves from competitors through continuous expansion, an extensive inventory, energy‑efficient solutions, and exceptional customer service. We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, self‑driven individual to join our growing team.
Responsibilities
Answer phones and take orders from customers over the phone
Provide status updates on previous orders
Prepare quotations and bids
Entry into computer systems
Purchase non‑stock items and backorders
Coordinate sales orders
Provide professional customer service to customers
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
One or two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination
Demonstrated trade experience and knowledge of mechanical and industrial piping applications
Professional demeanor in a fast‑paced environment
Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills
Motivated team player who takes initiative
Work Setting Lima, Ohio – Monday to Friday, day shift
