The Role We are seeking a talented and motivated Tax Manager to lead tax engagements for auto dealership and other for‑profit industry clients. The ideal candidate is self‑motivated, entrepreneurial, enjoys teamwork, and has strong technical accounting and tax knowledge. The role offers significant growth opportunities within the firm and direct work with business owners and their financial teams.

Responsibilities

Lead and support a strong portfolio of auto dealership clients, in addition to engagements across other industries.

Occasional travel to auto dealership industry conferences across the U.S. (typically 3 per year).

Provide review support for federal, state, and multi‑state individual tax returns for corporate business owners and high‑net‑worth individuals.

Build client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to deliver superior client services.

Identify opportunities for value‑added services and potential cross‑selling of firm services to existing clients.

Mentor, train, and develop staff members with exemplary leadership skills.

Support partner team in practice development, including attending conferences, networking events, and training and speaking engagements.

Requirements

7+ years of experience preparing and reviewing corporate and individual income tax returns.

Active CPA or EA.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

Proficiency in project management, including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and research.

Strong attention to detail and integrity within a professional environment.

Preferences

Experience with CCH Axcess Tax and Knowledge Coach.

Familiarity with the automotive retail industry.

Location The position can be based out of our Lebanon, NH office or conducted remotely.
