Senior Parametric Estimating Specialist

to join our team in

Berkeley, MO . Our team is open to a broad range of experience levels including Level 4 and Level 5 Specialists to find the best fit for the position. In this role, you will develop and maintain parametric cost models and provide rapid, reliable cost estimates across projects and programs. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and experience with statistical and parametric techniques to support early‑phase budgeting, proposal development, and decision‑making.

Position Responsibilities

Develop, validate, and maintain parametric cost models and estimating tools to support concept and preliminary design phases.

Produce timely, defensible high‑level cost estimates using parametric, analogous, and statistical methods.

Analyze historical cost and performance data to derive cost drivers and learning curves.

Collaborate with engineering, program management, supply chain, and finance to collect data inputs, verify assumptions, and refine models.

Perform sensitivity, risk, and uncertainty analyses to quantify cost drivers and present ranges and confidence intervals.

Lead and oversee development of complex estimates and prices from complex technical requirements through the design, build, and support stages of the program.

Lead and oversee business proposals, evaluate and make recommendations based on complex requests for proposal and substantiate estimates and pricing.

Lead and perform complex analyses and provide recommendations in support of pricing and estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.).

Determine database requirements and identify new data sources.

Lead and oversee the development, application, and maintenance of unique and non‑unique rates and factors for estimating.

Train and mentor team members on creating and using data‑driven estimates.

Support compliance activities.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or higher.

5+ years of experience in a business‑related role.

3+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charts, etc.).

Experience performing parametric estimates and data analysis.

Experience performing substantiated quick‑turn (1‑2 weeks) Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates and tests of reasonableness.

Preferred Qualifications

10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Active U.S. Security Clearance.

Experience with and knowledge of U.S. Government Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).

Experience using data analysis to drive decision making.

Experience with critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Experience working in multifaceted and diverse teams across multiple functions.

Experience leading projects with little direct supervision and driving projects to completion.

Experience working under tight deadlines with competing priorities.

Experience presenting to senior leadership.

Experience performing opportunity and risk analysis (discrete and statistical/Monte Carlo).

Summary pay range Level 4: $106,250 – $143,750. Summary pay range Level 5: $134,300 – $181,700.
