The Immunization Helpdesk Analyst provides technical and customer support for Immunization Information Systems (IIS). This role focuses heavily on maintaining data integrity—specifically identifying and resolving duplicate patient records and correcting bad merges. The analyst supports healthcare providers, public health staff, and other system users to ensure accurate, reliable immunization data within the registry. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Respond to inquiries from healthcare providers, public health agencies, and internal staff regarding immunization records, data discrepancies, and system functionality. Investigate and resolve duplicate patient records and bad merges within the immunization registry. Utilize data tools, matching algorithms, and data quality techniques to identify and correct data integrity issues. Escalate complex or unresolved data issues to technical teams or data stewards. Document all support interactions in the ticketing system and maintain accurate records of work performed. Provide guidance to users on proper data entry, record management, and best practices to prevent data quality issues. Collaborate with IT, data quality teams, and external partners to enhance deduplication processes, improve system performance, and support data quality initiatives. Assist in improving and monitoring data quality metrics across the IIS. Support system testing for updates, enhancements, and new features. Generate reports on data quality trends and contribute to the development of training materials and user resources. Required/Desired Skills

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Information Technology, Public Health, or a related field (Required). Experience in a helpdesk, data quality, or healthcare IT support role (Required). Experience with deduplication tools, data matching, or record linkage techniques (Required). Familiarity with immunization information systems (Required). Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills (Required). Excellent communication and customer service abilities (Required). Proficiency in using ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) and Microsoft Office Suite (Desired). Knowledge of HL7 messaging and public health data standards (Desired). Experience working with state or local public health departments (Desired). Understanding of HIPAA and data privacy regulations (Desired).
