Job Title
FIELD MANAGER I – Northwest Missouri
Location Remote – Northwest Missouri region (must reside in or be willing to relocate to the NW MO region around Maryville, MO).
Job Summary JBS Live Pork, LLC offers opportunities for a Field Manager to work directly with contracted pork producers. The role focuses on troubleshooting production challenges, improving efficiencies, and maintaining strong customer relationships. The Field Manager will support both swine and finisher operations, manage compliance, and assist with contract renewals.
Responsibilities
Coaching, training, and developing new contract Farm Managers.
Animal welfare and environmental compliance support.
Ordering medication/veterinary supplies and monitoring on‑farm record keeping.
Bio‑security compliance and action planning.
Controlling costs associated with feed, supplies, and labor.
Maintaining accurate record integrity.
Coordinating and overseeing completion of special projects.
Making recommendations for operational improvements.
Performing any other duties assigned by the Production Manager.
Principal Accountabilities
40% – Pork Producer Training.
20% – Auditing facility and environmental compliance; assisting producers in meeting compliance.
20% – Setting breed targets, gilt flow, and inventory management.
20% – Ordering medication/veterinary supplies, monitoring record keeping, and analyzing production reports.
Requirements
Relocation to the NW Missouri region required.
BS/BA in Agriculture or related field; 3+ years of live pork swine production experience.
Computer knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Proficiency in, databases, and word processing software.
80–day travel required; occasional overnight travel.
Ability to motivate and inspire people to achieve high goals.
Problem‑solving skills.
Knowledge of overall business strategy and operations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Physical capability to bend, push, pull, twist, and lift approximately 60+ lbs.
Own a vehicle 6 years or newer for frequent travel to facilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual: English–Spanish.
5+ years of swine production experience.
Previous swine field manager experience.
Working Conditions
Must work safely in a physically demanding, live production environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs and walking through pens of animals.
Must work in varying conditions (heat in summer, cold in winter). Will be exposed to odors, dust, and gases.
Exposure to potentially uncomfortable or hazardous substances if proper procedures are not followed.
